The LGBTQ+ Center has been created to offer support in developing and delivering inclusive programming and outreach initiatives to for WVU students, faculty and staff. We will collaborate with and support the University’s larger social justice efforts by providing academic and curricular support on all campuses, by advocating for members of our community, and by building coalitions.
The center is committed to serving as a resource center and as the social, intellectual and physical hub of the LGBTQ community at WVU. We will help the University identify, monitor and assess best practices in programming and policy to ensure an inclusive atmosphere, and we will help WVU establish a leadership role in the state and among our peer institutions on LGBTQ matters.
