Mason Arbogast

Youth Protection Program Specialist

Mason Arbogast is the Youth Protection Program Specialist with the Office of Equity Assurance within the Division of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion. In his role, Mason oversees the application and adherence to WVU Board of Governors Rule 1.7: Rule on Child Protection to ensure the safety and wellbeing of youth participating on University premises or in University sponsored programming. In addition, Mason serves as an Anonymous Employee by acting as a resource to Members of the University Community.

Prior to joining DDEI, Mason served as the Civic Engagement Coordinator with WVU's Center for Community Engagement where he worked to develop service-based experiential learning at the University and promote overall civic engagement across our university's campuses. 

Mason is a lifelong 4-Her that has grown up in the WVU Extension program and looks forward to continuing to grow these opportunities throughout the state in his role with Youth Protection. 

Mason earned both his Bachelor's in Biology (2020) and Master's in Public Administration (2022, emphasizing in Local Governance and Community Development) from WVU.
