The Kindness Campaign

Spring 2024 Kindness Campaign Schedule:

SpreadKindnessButton

The Division of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion is excited to launch its Kindness Campaign this Spring. The Kindness Campaign is designed to promote connection and amplify West Virginia University’s values of appreciation and respect. This fun engagement provides opportunities to spread joy to students, faculty and staff and encourage them to pay it forward by showing kindness to others on campus.

Throughout this campaign, Division staff members, Diversity Ambassadors and Peer Advocates will carry out monthly acts of kindness to promote the well-being of the campus. The campaign will begin on Monday, February 19th from 12pm to 2pm with members of the Division handing out flowers at the Mountainlair Brick Area.

In March, the Division will hand out mid-semester ‘pick-me-up’ packets with snacks and inspirational messages on both the Downtown and Evansdale campuses. In April, they will display ‘Take what you need’ sticky notes with affirming messages in various locations and hide painted rocks with inspirational messages across campus. For finals week, the Division will hand out ‘Fuel for finals’ on Downtown, Evansdale and HSC campuses with snacks like instant coffee, mint gum and popcorn to aid students studying for their final exams.
