She/Her
Catherine Contreras is a multidisciplinary studies major with a minor in Spanish. Her multidisciplinary studies major includes special education, disability studies, and law. She is an officer for the Latinx Organization "Mi Gente", an officer for Best Buddies, on the executive board for the Mountaineer Maniacs, and an Honors college member. She chose to be a Diversity Ambassador at WVU because she feels that the university could do more to create an inclusive environment for all and would like to advocate to ensure that everyone is able to be a part of the conversation. She hopes that by being a diversity ambassador she is able to amplify the voices of others to ensure everyone feels included and represented at WVU.
